Senator Manny Pacquaio and Senator Leila De Lima debated in bringing death penalty alive in the Philippines. Where the boxing champ agrees to have it and the former Justice Secretary is still opposing Pacquaio’s proposition.

“We need to clarify that from then until now, the Constitution never barred the imposition of the death penalty, especially in the eyes of God,”Pacquiao said.

“The death penalty is lawful, moral and sanctioned governmental action. Having read the Bible on a regular basis, I am convinced that God is not just a God of mercy, but also a God of justice,” said the boxer and Christian preacher.

“I strongly, firmly and passionately against for death penalty,” Delima said.

“We don’t have perfect legal and judicial system,” she added.
