The Quezon City Police District recovered four sachets said to contain shabu in the barracks that used to be occupied by members of the QCPD’s anti-illegal drug unit last Friday, an official said yesterday.

The QCPD’s District Special Operating Unit said the sachets were in an abandoned locker.

Senior Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, QCPD chief, said the sachets were submitted to the Crime Laboratory for testing.

Last week, all 35 police officers of the anti-drug unit, including its head, were removed from their posts after one of its team leaders was killed in a sting.
Senior Inspector Ramon Catillo, 47, was gunned down in a shootout with police when he tried to escape after allegedly selling shabu to undercover officers.
