TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — A top medication identity in Central Visayas surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Bohol on Tuesday since he dreaded for his and his family's wellbeing.

Alvaro Direcho Alvaro, false name "Barok," was joined by his better half and his mom when he surrendered himself to NBI specialists in an undisclosed spot, said attorney Reynan Augustus Oliva, head of NBI-Bohol field office.

"The likelihood of being captured or executed clearly sent him (Alvaro) a chilling impact," said Oliva. "His reality is getting littler and he apprehensions for his life ordinary."

From Bohol, the NBI specialists conveyed Alvaro to the NBI Central Visayas office in Cebu late Tuesday evening. He was later transported to Manila where NBI chief Virgilio Mendez would exhibit him in a news meeting on Wednesday.
Alvaro surrendered five days after he could avoid amid the indicated shootout amongst policemen and Jeffrey "Panther" Diaz, who was labeled as the main medication ruler in Central Visayas, in Las Piñas City on June 17.

Likewise slaughtered was Diaz' driver, Paul Vincent Igloria.

The police in Cebu distinguished Alvaro as the right hand man of Diaz.

Oliva said the surrender of Alvaro could lead powers to a trove of data about the illicit medication operations in the nation.
